WeVillage is an award-winning, innovative and flexible childcare concept that provides a playful, yet advanced learning environment, where parents feel comfortable leaving their children and where children never want to leave. The center, featuring state-of-the-art design, courtesy of environmental designer Bridget Cardenas and her company Raw Design firm, and play-based curriculum, was established founded by Karen Beninati in Portland, Oregon in 2009 when she said, “I couldn’t find a beautiful space with high quality care that fit my schedule, so I decided to create it.”

There are currently four award-winning centers in the greater Portland area that have served over 10,000 children. Now, with help from investors like Rebecca Romijn and the support of friends like Julie Bowen and Selma Blair, she’s thrilled to bring the concept home to LA

The newest WeVillage center in Sherman Oaks, California will provide flexible childcare, part-time care, preschool, after school care as well as infant and toddler programs for children six weeks to 14-years-old.

A progressive childcare concept mixing cutting edge philosophy and elegance, WeVillage has crafted a flexible scheduling program, ensuring parents that their children are being well enriched and attended to in a multifaceted environment. Throughout the play-based programs, staff works hand-in-hand with the children choosing and personalizing their activities, based on their individual interests. The WeVillage teachers encourage children with interactive play while helping facilitate their individual social skills along the way.

During the Sherman oaks opening, Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell discussed finding wevillage because Rebecca films in Portland (home of the original location) and they’d send their twins to wevillage every day. Celebrities such as, Julie Bowen, Selma Blair, and Lindsay Price attended.

WeVillage on infant Care:

This might be your first time leaving your infant with someone other than family. We understand how you feel, and we aim to make your transition as easy as possible.

We do our best to keep your child’s routine consistent and take pride in providing a safe, caring and calm environment for them. Our separate area for infants is staffed with highly trained professionals who will take the best care of your child.

We want to make sure we are properly staffed to care for your baby. We require 24 hours notice for toddlers and babies under 24 months. If you find yourself in a bind, call, we may be able to fit you in on short notice.

Our teacher ratio is 1-4 for infants. This small ratio ensures that your baby receives special attention throughout their stay.  Our infant teachers have years of experience working with this age group, so you can drop and go with confidence!

Babies love to play too! We have tummy time, sensory time, crafts and provide them with tons of loving attention.
