10 Months and Standing!

It appeared to Dad and I- that all you wanted to do was stand! Literally if it was a toy that allowed you to stand and walk you loved it. Jack started to crawl at around 8 ½ months, but at 10 months the crawling felt like a sprint on hands and feet. Jack paid no attention to his normal toys. Activity is all he cared about. If he could push himself up and walk from it- he played with it. It was at 10 months after moving into our new home and figuring out what renovations took precedence over the other, a banister and stair case came to mind, multiple electrical cord covers, and roping up cords. Jack was on a move and fast. Here are 10 things you loved at 10 months.

  1. The stairs- our staircase in April-May was a banister free staircase, it was in style and chic. We slowly realized it was not chic with an infant. You would crawl up the staircase with vengeance and reach the top and get so excited. You are definitely a determined baby.
  2. VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker was a must- An Interactive learning baby walker with a removable play panel. Equip with an early learning center which has 5 piano keys to play music and encourage creativity. Jack’s favorite party which are wheels to work on hard floors, allowing him to push and walk. The toy also features 2 colorful spinning rollers, 3 shape sorters, and 3 light-up buttons that develop motor skills. My favorite part was the pretend telephone handset and mechanical elements enhance role-play fun, which Jack often mimicked me. This VTech joy has over 70 sing-along songs, music, sound effects and fun phrases; meant for babies and toddlers 9 months to 3 years old.
  3. The Zobo Orby Walker- I call it god sent! Probably my most favorite device Jack has ever had. I feel that Jack has learned to walk because of this toy. The Zobo features sounds, lights, and music in an easy to remove with a walker. Three height adjustments allow the Zobo Orby Activity 3.0 Walker to grow with your child from 6 months to 30 pounds or 32 inch tall. It will help with balance and mobility from early development to baby’s first steps. With an extra-wide base and brake pads, the Zobo Orby Walker is designed to emphasize safety and support, and the high-back padded seat makes playtime comfortable.
  4. Stand in your Crib- As long as you stood in your crib I could move around freely in your room. No matter if I was drawing your bath, packing your bag, or preparing your outfit- you were always happy standing.
  5. Holding Hands- During your very first Easter egg hunt in Arcadia for your very first Easter, you trampled on the grass looking for plastic eggs filled with money standing. Your steps were careful, but you loved to hold dad’s or my hands while trying to stand.
  6. Coffee Table Time- Jack loves to hold onto the table. Coffee Tables are great, not yet dangerous because they can not entirely wander or crawl yet. But he definitely gets his standing practice with good ole coffee tables.
