The Firsts

I think there will be multiple entries that I say THE Firsts…. For Jack. So it is month 2, and I will just start to document the Firsts for Jack, just because.

  • The first parent night out:
Jack was brought to my parents and he spent the night with them for the first time. I was so nervous. Ryan, Dahvi, and my sister met at my house. We pre-gamed and then went to The Virgil. It is a bar in Silverlake that plays hip hop, R&B, and classics. We danced, drank, and had a blast. What I remember from that night. Ryan and I snuck away from the abr to eat tacos from a taco truck together. It was great.
  • The first family outing:
Jack’s birthday at 8 weeks. We went to the LACMA. We walked through the La Brea Tar Pits, people were very much into the Pokemon app as we walked the outside grounds. We went through the general art area and looked at work from Warhol, Degas, and Picasso- Jack was perfect.
  • The First Restaurant Outing:
Bludsos. It was Texan bbq. We ate ribs, mac n cheese, chicken, and links.Ryan and I had a fight at the table in front of my parents. Mary his mother was in town and staying with us for 6 weeks. Jack slept through the entire experience.
  • The first smile:
I was stressed on my couch it was week 5. I looked down at Jack as I was breastfeeding him and he just smiled at me. I cried and will never forget that.
  • The first car ride:
To my parents. I had picked up my sister. I was so scared to have Jack in the car for a long car ride. I made my sister drive, and I sat in the back with Jack. On the way home, Jack was screaming he was hungry during a feed hour. I pulled over and fed him in the car. We pulled over at a Mobile Gas station.
  • The first Nanny experience:
I had to work a full day at the NYX FACE AWARDS I watched through the monitor all day. I had to work the event and red carpet. The event had Chloe X Halle perform. Laura Sachez the Vlogger one. My employees at this time were Kat Edwards, Stacey Anudari, and Rebecca Steadly. I slept at 2am watching Jack in his bassinet. I paid the nanny $18/hr for 9 hours.
  • The first Mommy and Me experience:
I had enrolled into Pump Stations Mommy and Me class for October 8th, 2016. I showed up very early. I was nervous, and wanted to make friends with all the fellow mommies. There are 17 in the class. Jack slept through the entire class. I of course had to leave the very first class early due to work, but look forward to each and every class with these ladies.
  • My first trip away- August 28th 2016.
I had to leave Jack to go to New York. I cried at the gate leaving for JFK. I literally thought I would have to cancel the trip. Ryan watched Jack the first night, and my parents the second night. I spent 48 hrs in New York, and never wanted to get back to my kid fast enough.
  • The first moment out of the house:
It was just Jack and I. I took him on a stroll around our neighborhood in his stroller. Ryan’s mom was at the house. It was good to get out. It was easy I thought. I also wondered how will it be each time I take him out of the house, would it always be a production? Getting the stroller together, preparing diaper bags, making sure he is prepared, and yes it will always be a production.
  • The first shopping experience:
I was with Ryan’s mother and we drove to Buy Buy baby. She sat in the backseat with Jack, and we shopped for him. It was a fun experience.
